Country Club Advisor, LLC Appoints Bill Wagner, CCM as Florida Regional Manager
Long Island, NY (PRWeb) January 6, 2007 -- Country Club Advisor LLC, New York, announced today that William "Bill" Wagner, immediate past-President of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), has been appointed as the company's Regional Manager for the State of Florida.
Bill Wagner, CCM (Certified Club Manager) was the General Manager at The Riviera Country Club in Miami, FL for 14 years prior to joining the company.
Mr. Wagner led his club through a complete revitalization program revolving around their membership programs, physical structures, and business operations. During his tenure, the average age of the membership dropped from 72 to 56. At the same time, managerial improvements to operations and strong investments in the facility's infrastructure led to the club's selection as a Five-Star Platinum facility by a nationwide survey of Club Managers and Presidents in 1999.
"Bill brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and common-sense business acumen to the table. He happens to be joining us just when the club industry is experiencing the growing pains of a dynamic and competitive new marketplace," said Country Club Advisor LLC managing member, David A. Shaw. "He is a recognized expert in the Club industry and we are extremely excited to have him join our team."
In June, 2006, Mr. Wagner was recognized as one of Golf Inc.'s "20 Most Admired Golf Course Operators". The Robert H. Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University, where Mr. Wagner graduated with a Business Degree, selected him as "Alumnus of the Year, 2005".
Bill was elected President of the Florida Chapter of the Club Managers Association on three separate occasions and has served on their Board of Directors for seventeen years. In 2005, Mr. Wagner was elected National President of the 7,000 member Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).
In addition to his successful private club background, Mr. Wagner has served in executive positions with Club Corporation of America, Hyatt Resorts, Callaway Gardens, and Sonesta Hotels and Resorts. Mr. Wagner also serves on the Board of Governors for the Florida Chamber of Commerce
