The Annual Shawn Parr Golf Tournament Gets On Its Way for 2007

(PRWEB) March 12, 2007 -- The excitement mounts as June 25, 2007, quickly approaches. The El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel well once again host the 2007 Annual Shawn Parr Golf Invitational which benefits the John Tracy Clinic, Monday, June 25th. The El Miguel Country Club is one of the nation's premier golf courses. The tournament will be played using a super scramble format. Shawn Parr, famous radio personality, actor and father, is an advocate for the John Tracy clinic. Each year he enjoys hosting this event and benefit.

"As your host for the 14th year, I look forward to meeting you when I tee off with each team. By taking part in the 2007 Tournament, you will enable Orange County Guild to make important progress toward its second million in donations to the Clinic!" exclaims Shawn.

"I simply enjoy this event year after year and look forward to it," states avid golfer Ken from San Diego. "The day is exhilarating."

Prices for the tournament are extremely reasonable starting off at $3,000.00 for a Major Team Sponsor (5 golfers, 10 banquet tickets) with prices and activities that go all the way down to attending the awards banquet at only $50.00. The shotgun start will be at 11:30 a.m. Prices can include a continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, memorable team photo, open putting green, incredible golfer gifts and more.

There is something for everybody including a live and silent auction that takes place. GOLF TOURNAMENT:
*The Shawn Parr/Orange County Guild Invitational Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 25, 2007. The Tournament will be played at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel (address above)

SHAWN PARR:
*Currently Parr is the Radio Personality on KKGO 105.1 FM Southern California Country. He is often referred to as the "Ambassador of Country Music." Parr has many acting credits to his name and can bee seen in the upcoming release of "Lucky You" (Warner Brothers).Parr has also been seen in several television shows in the past few years. Plus, he is also the voice of the Golden Globes and American Music Awards for well over the past 14 years. Avid golfer, Parr has been a particpant in other great golf tournaments such as the Bob Hope Classic.

JOHN TRACY CLINIC (OC GUILD):
*The purpose of the Orange County Guild is to foster interest in John Tracy Clinic among its members and the community, and to assist the Clinic through contributions of service and funds. The Guild has raised over $1.5 million dollars during the past 41 years for John Tracy Clinic. In Orange County we also arrange hearing screening tests in local preschools, at no cost, to be sure all children are hearing before they enter kindergarten. The programs at John Tracy Clinic provide parents of preschool deaf children, worldwide educational services to give them hope, guidance and encouragement, all without charge. Your generous support of this tournament will help hundreds of deaf children and their families.

JTC Highlights include:
*Conducted hearing screenings for more than 16,500 preschoolers and toddlers in four regional counties.
*Performed over 1,200 audio-logical exams on young children suspected of having a hearing loss.
*Guided over 300 children and parents through the Demonstration Home and Preschool programs in Los Angels and Long Beach.
*Served over 3000 families across the United States and in 85 countries around the world through Correspondence Distance Education and International Summer Sessions.
*Conducted classes and a practicum for 13 graduate students in a new Master and Credential Program in partnership with the University of San Diego.
