Grande Lakes Orlando Holds Top 20 Position Among Courses for Women

Orlando, FL (PRWEB)July 14, 2007 -- The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes, shared with the JW Marriott Grande Lakes has been ranked 18th in Golf For Women magazine's annual "Top 50 Courses for Women -- 2007." This is the third consecutive year the Orlando, Florida luxury resort has achieved a Top 50 ranking.

To determine the ranking, the magazine begins with a large group of nominees from past top rankings, eligible courses from Golf Digest's "Top 100 Public Courses" and courses nominated by Golf For Women's course raters. The golf course raters then provide evaluations on every public resort course they play, traveling and playing at their own expense and timetables.

The Orlando resorts' golf course provides a unique "female friendly" golf experience for both amateur and professional women golfers. The 18-hole Greg Norman-designed championship golf course offers multiple sets of tees and allows for few forced carries. The Orlando golf course has LPGA and PGA professionals on staff as well as female caddies to accompany women golfers throughout their round of golf. The Ritz-Carlton Golf Shop also offers a large selection of golf attire and equipment for female golfers.

The unique Orlando resort offers a luxury 584-room Ritz-Carlton and deluxe 1,000-room JW Marriott hotels. Summer room rates at both hotels offer incredible value and are unbeatable this season. Rates at The Ritz-Carlton start at $209 and the JW Marriott start at only $179. Guests who choose The Ritz-Carlton $209 rate will also enjoy the added value of The Ritz-Carlton Reconnect Package, which includes deluxe accommodations, signature breakfast buffet for two at The Vineyard Grill and a $25 golf or spa credit. Summer room rates are valid through September 5, 2007; subject to availability and do not include taxes.

Guests at both The Ritz-Carlton and the JW Marriott can enjoy all the facilities and services Grande Lakes Orlando has to offer. In particular, the Grande Lakes Outfitters program, which includes kayak eco-tours and fly fishing, reflects the resort's natural surroundings. Grande Lakes also offers the culinary mastery of award-winning Chefs Melissa Kelly and Norman Van Aken, new total-wellness inspired treatment programs at The Ritz-Carlton Spa and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Greg Norman. With so many choices, Grande Lakes Orlando has something for everyone.
